That "empty" pole in the picture looks somewhat newer compared to the roadside ones. Can anyone who's been visiting the location comment as to the vintage of that telephone pole? It would be nice to see some sort of contribution by NYSEG to the project as a sign that things aren't "stalled" for some unknown reason.

That pole has been there since shortly after trenching began, if I recall correctly. Its definitely not new in the last two weeks.

They put in the pole and ran the lines underground to the transformer box when they first started the site work. Here is a picture of the inside of the concrete transformer box with the three lines coming from the pole. In earlier pics xrayangiodoc showed the lines from the distribution panel in the same box. What is curious to me is why they dug up some of the asphalt around the transformer box?

The new CHADdeMO charger being built in Ithaca, New York is also awaiting a part and some work to be completed be NYSEG before it is operational.

Great news! Everyone at NYSEG was probably confused that someone in Western NY wanted a new transformer and didn't just want to disconnect an old transformer. Had to dust off the old playbook from the 80s. Hopefully they've still got some guys that remember how to wire these up!
