Build Date?

Hi guys, I've just taken delivery of a new Model S. I'd like to find out the build date, but the B pillar sticker usually referenced as having the month and year of manufacture is different on my car, and doesn't have that info. Is this a UK vs US thing? How can I find out the build date please?

It’s a UK vs USA thing. My Raven MX is the same and to date I haven’t found any way to determine the precise build date. I have tracked down when it started its voyage from the States to Tilburg but nothing more than that.

Related question - how do I find the options codes please? Most sites talk about extracting the info from the image URL on the Tesla site, but that doesn't seem to work on the UK site (or perhaps it's old info?).

Never mind sorry, I did actually get it to work, I was using the wrong image, oops.

Codes no longer possible. The API now gives the same codes for every car.

Not sure what you mean? I got the codes from the image URL, and they match my car exactly.

Not all codes are exposed through the URL. If you want to know if you’ve got a R/H M3, look at the car. The codes for stuff like what battery size was your car fitted doesn’t show.

There’s a source names Vedaprime operating out of Australia who can track S and X’s once you have a VIN. I used his/her service for my S. From memory it cost about £8 for the detailed service, paid via Patreon.

The codes thing is frustrating, on my first S I could see all the option codes, but as @NewbieT says Tesla don’t disclose them properly anymore, which is a shame.

Thanks for mentioning the service. It might be a while before I can track a RHD S/X given it looks like we won’t see any until 2022. I should be able to see the LHD S/X this year. I cannot see any Model 3.
