Here’s an article published today about small SUV’s attracting their greatest popularity in the Midwest: Smallest SUVs most popular in US Midwest, less so in west, south

Perhaps that’s where the Model Y factory should be built. Chicago is the nation’s railroad hub and has direct access to Europe through the Great Lakes.

If Elon Musk can bargain for Tesla's to be sold in Texas, they will probably be build in Texas.

Seems almost a non-issue. The cars will get to them regardless of where they're built. What the midwest really needs is an explosion of superchargers to entice model y buyers.

I'm hoping they are going to build serious trucks near Rotterdam in the Netherlands, perhaps together with DAF.
Starting with the flower auctions in Aalsmeer (who also considered to build their own tunnel between them and Schiphol about a decade ago, but decided it was too expensive at the time).
Together with Shell they can also build a swappeble battery system for trucktrailers and cover all the flower auction roofs full of solar panels.

That Tesla Killer company, Faraday Future just gave up on their land and incentives in Vegas. Nevada said that any company that wants the same deal can have it and we know they are a fan of Tesla.
