This bolts onto the original studs and then has new studs with the full length needed to bolt the wheel on to. If you don’t get these, you will need to take apart the brake hub and install new, longer stud bolts. This is preferable but a ton of work especially on the front of vehicles. Still waiting on the new spacers.

I don’t have side photos of the car yet, but I got the 15 and 20mm spacers installed. I did get a bit of a shot to see the difference between with and without.

Then I just bought some carbon fiber pieces for the steering wheel. Even with a carbon fiber steering wheel, you then still have the ugly spikes to deal with.

View attachment 354315 I was anxious to get my spacers on. Got my puck jack adapters made, socket for my torque wrench, jacked up the car and put the first one on. Can’t get the wheel on. Took a closer look, and the new bolts are closer to the edges. I got 5x114.3 to 5x120 (Model S) adapters. Lenny happened to make a typo sending the work order to the shop, so he’s on it and taking care of me. Just have to wait a little longer. Stuff happens

Like a lot of where you are going here, but baffled by the track expansion and spacers. Why? You must know you are radically changing the scrub radius, and with it, a bunch of variables. The scrub radius is baked into the complex suspension geometry parametrics, which we don't know, and I wouldn't in a million years think to second guess. Plus you will seriously impact your drag coefficient? Why??

Much is said to make people afraid of any changes to scrub radius. All of my cars have different wheels with lower offset that change the scrub radius, and I've never had any issues short or long term. I have no issue with making such a minor change here. This is also a test fitment in case I want to get 9.5" +35 wheels which will actually extend the fronts by 13mm vs this 15mm. As for seriously impacting drag coefficient, please show me the numbers as to what the change is. The range is already enough lower than it is supposed to be, this will not be a road trip car. I'm seeing 240mi range from 100% at highway speeds (310Wh/mi). In case I stick with the stock width wheels, the lower offset just looks better.

Time has passed, and I have not noticed any efficiency difference with the spacers. I just posted a feeler to see if any others would have interest in the Titan 7 TS-5 in 19x9 +25 to match the fitment I have here but .5" wider to fit up to 265mm tires. If anybody has interest, post in the group buy thread. Group Buy Poll for Mono-Block Forged Alloy Wheels by Titan 7

In the meantime, I've got my car finally getting protection with Autoflex Spray Wrap Pro, blacking out the chrome trim, and spraying the wheels bronze. This will end up being a test to see how I like the bronze color on the car, but I think I'll like it.

Other things upcoming: gloss carbon fiber dash and center console are ordered from RPM Tesla. Also, lug nuts just arrived to be able to use my Volk Racing 19x8.5 GT-C in gold. It took me a while to find inverted lug nuts in 14x1.5 to work with the special wheels.

Just got the car back from getting the wheels covered in Autoflex Brass Knuckles pearls. They also covered the car in Autoflex Spray Wrap for PPF and blacked out chrome. Problem is they messed it all up and covered all in orange peel. It all has to come off. The wheels are sharp though.

I took it straight over to another shop to install Unplugged Performance "Super Performance" springs. Looks like how the P should have straight from the factory. Not too low, not too high.

A couple of things arrived. Unfortunately, the shop that did a great job on the wheels did an unimaginably poor job with Spray Wrap ppf and black out chrome. It all has to be peeled off. Perfect time to sport a front emblem for a little while.

The gloss carbon fiber center console from RPM Tesla. The thicker material makes the panels level with the metal trim on the sides.

Somebody mentioned it being a Teslarossa, and I can’t believe I never thought of that. Name change to see how that suits the car for a while.

It’s been a long while and haven’t included the CF dash once it arrived. Heck, I still haven’t taken it for a proper photo shoot.

Anyway, I finally pulled the trigger on winter wheels/tires. I’m interested to see the efficiency difference with higher wear rating. I got some 18x9” bronze FC04 from Canadawheels.ca and some top rated Michelin CrossClimate tires. Adding a 7mm spacer to the rear to keep it looking even. The Honda has the wheels in right offset, but the tires will have a bit more sidewalk than that.

It hit me that since taking delivery of the car last month, I haven’t started any build thread. Time to fix that. Deposit #103 in Dallas on 3/31/16, ordered 5/31/18, delivered 10/2/18.

Multi-coat Red
No FSD or white interior

Originally planned on White/White, but after multiple order mess ups from Tesla, by the time we started over one last time, we had reservations about long term care of the white. We then agreed to get a tan interior done later with Multicoat Red.

I went back and forth on which Katzkin interior because none were exactly what I wanted. I wanted Ferrari Cuoio, and the closest was a more orange Autumn shade. It would really end up closer to BMW Cinnamon and exact match of anissan Burnt Orange. Both good but not quite Cuoio. I actually went in to order Katzkin when I saw their custom interior samples. Spotted the Ferrari tan in an instant, and I upgraded. This is smooth leather vs texture on the Katzkin. minor thing, but it makes a difference on top of the color being what I wanted.

Man I LOVE those tan seats. I was hoping Tesla would come out with a Tan interior option before I ordered mine and this just validates that for me. How much did this cost?

I imagine it isn't cheap but they look incredible to me.

Go to katzkin.com and you can see the pricing for some standard patterns (I am guessing different colors wouldn't change the pricing much). By me, basic one color is $1,595 or $2,195 for leather one or two colors with diamond stitching. My plan is to do them when my seats wear down a bit. Haven't decided on the finishes yet.

I have an appointment to have a Katzkin interior installed tomorrow - cognac seats with black insert. The total with installation was around $1800. Not cheap by any means, but not much more expensive than the white interior option.

Please post pictures once they’re in. I’ve been considering the cognac, autumn, and other browns. Did you order swatches to decide on color? What’s your exterior color?

Does that include rear seats as well?

It does

My exterior is red. I was deciding between cognac and autumn as well. I didn't order swatches, but I did chat with someone at Katzkin who made mock ups of both shade selections with black insert and the cognac seemed to be more what I was looking for. Fingers crossed that I'm right.
