Thank you. They let me floor it a couple of times, and it was awesome, but I'm also hoping for future events. They volunteered to let the roadster team test on the track. Just don't know how to get Elon and Karpathy to do the space x hot autonomous lap idea. The track owner said the NIO supercar had sped around the track.... this makes me want to get the roadster to smack it down. Maybe they'd allow us to do laps in the mad max caravan if we go through Austin on the coast to coast trip?
Well, I’m glad you linked karpathy and Elon on the you tube, it’s a great idea and i’d like to see the smack thrown down... maybe some of the folks on this forum could fast track the idea?
Hear ye hear ye! With the soon to be feature complete AP on the horizon may I suggest a twittering from all ye on this forum to Elon and Tesla to retrofit is in time to do the cross country! Culminating in a falcon heavy launch? Tweet!
Well, I’m going to the 4/7 FH launch, feeling the heat, as I couldn’t make the first one. So far there’s no indication when the HW3 upgrade ships, so my AP2 MS is not feeling the love. Soon, I’m sure, just not soon enough for this next FH launch. Hopefully for the real Crew Dragon.
My guess it that it will be the third falcon heavy launch. We have to wait for coast to coast to be demonstrated and then have time for AP2 FSD folks to be upgraded with cocaine/silicon chips....
It's happening Mother Truckaaasssss! Ride or Die! Let's go! Tweet tweet my little birdies.... tweet to Elon and tesla requesting Semi truck escort! Please mention Buttershrimp Ride or die event!
New idea. We kick it up a notch with the Mad Max theme and go on the offensive..... we stop at all the truck stops along the route and we block the gas pumps and then covertly vandalize pickup trucks with see while we record our debauchery on Sentry mode.
Boy, this is something I would really love to do, but I have too many responsibilities right now...someday...
We've driven our Tesla Model S P85D from Newport Beach CA to Denver via Zion & Monument Valley outbound and I-70 & I-15 on the way back last March. We actually enjoy the "frequent" charging stops since we end up finding places we otherwise would have never seen... and arrive refreshed since we get out and walk, eat, hydrate every couple of hours. When we drove in our Jeep Grand Cherokee, we stopped less and arrived stiff and tired. That being said, we'd love the additional range of a Model S P100D but the trade-up cost is HUGE... and it wouldn't come with the Plus Suspension. Once FSD finally happens, we'll reconsider but for now our P85D is awesome !!!
Ah, you said you “might” be able to drive a portion of it... but the brilliant thing about the event is you won’t need to drive for ANY of it! As long as the software works!
Tesla speeds toward fully self-driving cars, but many worry what that will unleash — The Washington Post
Yeah, that was a horrible article. Didn't know that Amazon was working on a Tesla competitor. Sure was slanted like they are.
