Buy a Model S today to get higher up the Model 3 reservation list?

Hello all! I placed two reservation deposits for the Model 3 on first day it was open online to a non-Tesla owner. Does anyone know if I buy a new or used Tesla today will my Model 3 orders be filled sooner (and possibly allow me to get the full federal tax credit)? Thanks! Joe

Bear in mind that a Model S costs more than the potential tax credit(s) you may be getting with possible earlier deliveries of your Model 3(s).

Elon replied to someone on Twitter that asked this after the reveal and he said yes it would help your position in line. Not sure how long that would be good for. Like say M3 starts shipping Nov '17 and you buy a model S in July '17. Also he didn't answer (bc he wasn't asked) if having a used S counts but I suspect it would.
