Buying or selling a Powerwall 2? A warning...

Yup - W-9 required as part of the contracting process, and yes, the 1099 has my SSN. The 1099 even has an "account number" of "PWRWL-myname" on it as a reference. Tesla F'up I assume. Unless they're gifting me a powerwall and have yet to tell me about that part (it's defintely not "free" on the contract!)

That definitely sounds like a screw-up on Tesla's end. Hope you can get it sorted out.

The same here. Tesla phone # on the form does not seem to be related to tax forms questions. I sent email to my project coordinator. I have a feeling that this screwup is related to Connected Solutions program with EverSource but no way of knowing for sure.

I think Tesla is so disorganized that you cannot extrapolate anything they do. It feels like random process that does not follow any reasoning.
