CA Costa Mesa Delivery delay

I was supposed to receive delivery tomorrow 4/20 but received call saying the car is in transit and won't get here till next Wednesday. I thought it's kind of odd since Fremont is only a 6 hours drive from Costa Mesa. Anyone else in the area getting their delivery delayed as well?

On another thread someone has posted that his car delivery was pushed out to 26th although car will be there earlier there are no delivery appointments available. The appointment times are every 15 min still completely booked up. Looks like the Costa Mesa center is overwhelmed. Maybe they have delayed receiving the cars simply due to lack of capacity.

For us, our delivery specialist contacted us 3 days ago that car will be available soon and to log in to my account to get the loan application completed as well as the trade in evaluation. I replied immediately that there was no link or application in my account yet for these. That was 3 days ago, since then we have left a couple of voicemails to follow up, but no response. Just giving him benefit of doubt time as I believe they are overwhelmed.

Can I ask for another SC for delivery? I went by Costa Mesa last weekend, and it seemed tiny compared to pictures I've seen of other SC's. I did place my reservation at the Costa Mesa SC.

I believe the answer is yes.

I also have been asking around seeing if I can get delivery in Marina Del Ray because I work closer to there and I want to see that facility more than Costa Mesa.

Try logging out and then log back in. It's cached so it's not showing. You could also try Crtl+F5 to reload. You should see the page updated with the loan app link.

Cross posting this from the ISA thread, but since this is specifically for CM delays:

I just got a call from Tesla in Fremont, a different person than I had been dealing with. He called to tell me there was a delay with the transport truck and my car will not be available for delivery today (my originally scheduled date). The soonest available date he had for me was Wednesday evening, which I accepted.

I got a call as well. I'm not sure why they can't let me pick a delivery center when I configured. I work like a couple of blocks from Marina Del Ray and can pickup the car on any weekdays, but they insist it'll add 4 weeks to my delivery date if I change it now. Never got an option and was just given Costa Mesa.

Delivery zip was a question at configuration. Didn't give a list or anything like that though.

Me too. They asked zip code and presented both CM and MDR as choices.

You're probably in between both. I live in Irvine but work near Del Ray and it only asked for the zip where I will register the car. I don't think I was offered any options. I only knew where I was picking up after I got a call from the ISA a couple of day later after I received my VIN. Anyway Tesla can't read minds and didn't know where I work, but it'll be nice to actually schedule the location and date online after a VIN was received. I could have also taken delivery in Fremont to free up a truck space too. My parents, brothers, and cousins are all in SF. Could have shown off the car to my Anti-Tesla brother who doesn't understand EVs at all.

It's fine, after waiting 2 years, I can wait another week. Just odd that from a 2/28 invite I'm waiting 2 months to get the car.

same delay. 4/20 delivery cancelled by Tesla the afternoon before as the car had not arrived. The truck arrived saturday and im picking up tomorrow.

Denver, CO

Its not logical, but I wonder if the production halt somehow indirectly affected transports
