CA EV Rebate for a 2018 Model 3

I picked up my M3 on 1/11/2018 and when I try to register for the California EV rebate it says the VIN is invalid (and the DMV web page says it only applies to 2017 Model 3 vehicles, and mine is a 2018). Does anyone know if/when the DMV is going to allow 2018 Tesla Model 3 vehicles to get the rebate?

Try again, 2018 Model 3 just opened up! I completed my rebate application today!
