CA "Temporary" License Plate Number be same as "Permanent" Plate Number?

Hi there,
Question from a new model 3 owner. Received the CA "Temporary" License Plate Number from Tesla on the day of purchase, will the "Temporary" License Plate Number be same as "Permanent" Plate Number I will eventually receive?

Absolutely not. I can speak from personal experience and that of many new vehicles showing up at my work.

The CA temp "plates" are still starting with A. Permanent plates are still starting with 8. (We get lots of new EVs/PHEVs showing up at my work that are supposed to be entered into our EV/PHEV registry for plug sharing and contacting the owner if there's a problem.)
