In the same boat as a few of you, ordered late May with a 6/12-6/30 ETA but today it updated to 1-10 weeks. SA assured me it's a glitch and we should still be within the initial window.

I think you have to wait until you have 6 posts. Then you will see a signature option when you click on your username (top right).

Wonder if TSLA is prioritizing assembly of FSD and 7 seat configs to maximize Q2 rev req? That could explain 'out of order' VIN assignments to myself and anka2021 in the last couple days.

For folks considering Demo cars: Is it feasible to order a demo car which is not geographically close by? For instance if I like a config in NY..do you know if Tesla will ship it to California?

Yes they can, but I heard shipping costs around $2k

I just hope that’s the case with MY7s as I am waiting for one myself FSD happens to be a software feature, I don’t believe it requires any special assembling.

May seem hacky. But what happened with me was (I did not know this at the time), I placed a new order on the demo car and selected an appropriate pickup location. My transit was only from Santa Barbara to Fremont, so it showed $500. Then I asked an SA to move the VIN to my original order, and when he moved the VIN, the car moved but not the transport fee. And the delivery location changed from Fremont to Dublin (which was the pick-up location for my original order).

May be a hole in Tesla's ordering system wouldn't be the first.

Ordered 5/28 in SoCal, delivery was June 14-30 for a long time, then 13-26, then 14-30 again, then 16-30, and now today to 1-10 weeks. Hope I was just caught up in the weirdness with the delivery timelines right now.

We ordered ours 4/15 and picked up 6/14 in Temecula. The dates will fluctuate A LOT!! Call your service center and they can look up your account and be able to give you a MUCH more accurate window.
