Cabin filter cover has no screw

So, I went to replace my cabin filter this morning, and there was no T20 torx screw. In fact there was no screw at all! I attempted to pop out the top of the cover but it's really stuck in there. Any suggestions?

Just to make sure- are you looking at the filter cover? The center of your photo is not the filter cover. The cover is all the way forward where the orange wires have 2 clips. The screw is at the very top and difficult to see without a good light and crawling head first into the foot well.
I believe the screw is in there. Without it, the cover would fall to the right.

Don't feel bad. There's a very good reason for how I know that's it's easy to confuse the filter cover...

Don't feel bad, that big rectangle SHOULD be the filter cover. The way it's actually designed is ridiculous.

Instead of trying to use a screwdriver to unscrew the factory screw, which is located in a very awkward location that is hard to access, this thumb screw requires ZERO tools to remove. Just turn the thumb screw with your fingers to remove or install the air filter cover plate.
