The feature is triggered at 105F, but (depending on the ambient air temp) it could keep the cabin much cooler. When I triggered it, the cabin was down to 80F in a few minutes, but it was drawing in cool air.
105C was most likely chosen because above that temp is when the body suffers from heat stroke. Since the cabin can easily heat up to temps higher than 105C, cooling to 105C will reduce the risk (not eliminate) the chance of a child dying of heat stroke or hyperthermia.
Is there a way to change the temperature setting to lower it? On days when we are in and out of the house in the car, it would be nice to have it set to 90 or something that would let the car cool down more quickly when you turn on the air conditioning from the app.
