I just got off the phone with the SA and it is a new program. They were all briefed this morning and anyone who orders a new EV gets it, automatically. I did no additional paperwork. I'll try to figure out more when I pick up the car.

My rep texted me and said I had to e-sign a document in order to get the rebate, but I don’t see any mention of it under my order number.

Did anyone else have to sign something to get it?

Yes. My Tesla account had an acknowledgement of this rebate when I visited today and took delivery.

Looks like this point of sale rebate takes over the previous SCE (and PG&E / SDG&E?) rebates. Thought for a minute we were getting an extra $1500 out of the blue. Shucks.

I am not in the process of buying a Tesla but I got the email informing me about this rebate too.

Take advantage of the latest EV rebate incentive in California.
Purchase and register any new Model S, Model X, Model 3 or Model Y in the state and take advantage of the latest $1,500 EV rebate, including additional local incentives and carpool lane access.

How much is the SCE rebate now? When I got it 2 years ago, it was only $450 I think. So $1500 would be a $1050 increase.

Can someone give a Tl;dr; on ALL California incentives when buying an electric vehicle? Is this particular one unique to SCE (I'm in NorCal so on PG&E). Maybe there's another thread for this but I couldn't find it using search terms.

It looks like in NorCal: $1500 Clean Fuel Reward, $2000 Clean Vehicle Rebate (online if income for joint filers < $300k/year), $800 PG&E Clean Fuel Rebate = $4300 total.

What about the CA $2000 rebate? They really need better messaging and naming.

Look on Tesla ordering page, it is up to date on what you will get..

I see it on the order page but nothing is reflected in the order agreement yet.

Not sure how accurate this is as I was under the assumption that the new $1500 California rebate only applies to new orders not retro active orders.

But, I just got a text from Tesla saying that california has a new clean fuel reward rebate of $1500 that can be applied AT DELIVERY and to reply yes to take delivery in December.

I had my reservation since release in March or May.

Does anyone with a reservation before the $1500 get this rebate applied at delivery?
