Calibrating Auto Pilot?

I understand it takes 40 to 60 miles to calibrate auto pilot. If you drive those miles hugging the left side of the lane for example to keep out of the noisy ruts in the pavement, is that where the auto pilot will train itself too or does it always want to be in the middle? Does it follow the driver's bad habits?

No. It's not calibrating to you, it's calibrating the radar, cameras, and ultrasonic sensors to agree that they're seeing the same thing at the same location.
