I can't guarantee it but I have a suspicion that XPel is the same material as the Zagg Invisible Shield (iPad/iPhone screen protector)... if you look at the texture, self-healing properties, etc... they are appear to be the same thing. You could pick one of those up and do a test (apply a 1/2" square somewhere inconspicuous) for a few days and see what the results are like. If it works you can just stick the HOV sticker on the remainder of the material, cut it to match the shape and apply it to the car.[/COLOR]
Anyone worried about getting their stickers stolen?
My dad has his stolen apparently on his Prius
Interesting. My Roadster title shows the make as "TESLA" but my Model S says "TSMR".Finally got my vanity plates on and am going to apply for the HOV decals. Quick q: the DMV form REG 1000 asks for make and model of course; wondering if I should put in TSMR as the make (the registration says so) instead of Tesla? And, "Model S-60kWh" like was the case with the CVRP paperwork? Thanks in advance for advice.
I have gone 3.5 years with just the small sticker in rear window of my roadster. I don't use HOV lane regularly, but have past CHP in lane and never been pulled. I keep other stickers and ev registration paper in the car.
If I ever got pulled over I plan to politely tell officer. The law is that a sticker would be applied to the vehicle. However, the DMV came up with the rules of multiple stickers. I have paid the fee for this electric vehicle and have sticker as law states. I have also registered the car with fastrak. The car is properly registered and with current insurance. It just seems wrong to plaster such a pretty car to satisfy the DMV. I hope at that point the officer would find it ok to let me go.
