California DMV - Plates & HOV Stickers

The decal for my Roadster took right about the same amount of time. Frustrating, isn't it?

I'm in the same boat. But we're not far off their track, yet. Others that received their cars in January are just getting them, so I'm hoping they will come by end if May.

I submitted mine during the first week of March and it just came in the mail today. As of Sunday, the check hadn't been cashed so they seem to move quickly from cashing to mailing the stickers. It took me about 6 weeks to receive the $2500 rebate.

I got my car in December 2012 and Tesla submitted the paperwork and check for me at that time. I got my stickers about 3 weeks ago, so it was a little over three months before mine arrived. It is also taking an eternity to get my vanity plates.

I got my Model S in early February, submitted the HOV sticker form and check right away and had the check cashed two weeks ago and the stickers arrrive a couple of days after that. So between 8 and 10 weeks between submission of materials and receipt of stickers.

80 days seems a bit long.

I either got lucky, or they are through with their backlog. I got my stickers today and I've only had my S for a month.

Got my vanity plates on 3/22 and filed on 3/23.

Got my stickers TODAY!!!!!!

I have my sticker for about 4 months now... it took a while to receive them from the California DMV. FWIW, while I was waiting (close to two months), I dialed my way into the Special Processing Unit at the DMV and the kind person told me they are slammed with processing a constant large number of plug-ins and EVs without additional resources. Just FYI.

I'm so mad/sad/disappointed right now. I received a letter from the DMV yesterday and it said that the address I used wasn't the registered address of the car! It's true, in the month between applying for the decals and when the letter was sent, I moved and so I changed the registered address of the car. Ugh. I'm going to call the DMV tomororw, maybe they can process me faster than snail speed.

I have a set of these. Maybe I should rent them out a month at at time..
