anyone familiar with the CA incentive, I saw income cap of $300,000 for joint filers. This may disqualify most of new MS buyer.

Is this income cap is correct? I plan to get MS aroun June 2017

It was $250k for single and $500k for marred filed jointly. They just changed the regulation though so $300k might be the new limit. They increased the incentive for lower-income buyers though, which I think is probably better for the overall good.

This caused me to look up the information and I do qualify as a lower-income buyer. The issue is that my application has been approved, although not paid yet.

I'm going to call and find out if Its too late to submit the claim for the extra $1500.

Agreed. On the post-credit survey it felt hypocritical to respond 'No' to the "Do you think the CA credit affected your decision to buy an EV?" question. For EVs to take off, they need to encourage lower-cost options. The new credit layout seems pretty effective in that, IMO.

If you have submitted your application for the rebate but they have not mailed out the check, you can alter your application. I called them and was told this by a representative.

Congrats! Is the max CA incentive $5k now? That's a good chunk of change. I wonder if they'll extend that incentive past the Federal incentive.

I got an approval email but no check yet. How do I "alter" my application?

I called the number on their website and spoke with them. Sounded like they do it on their end.
