Hey Guys:

I just had a set of vff-103 diamond graphite wheels installed. To finish the new look, I am planning to have the original boring calipers painted.

OEM red calipers look awesome, but I did find yellow ones stands out from a grey car too. I wonder if anyone has ever done a yellow caliper painting on your MS, and how do you like it? Any feedback and photos are appreciated.

The one I found online:

Tesla Model S P85 - Vorsteiner V-FF 103

Also why there're 2 pieces painted in yellow on rear tire, what is the small one for?

Parking brakes. Great looking wheels, btw!
I’m been pondering the same question as you, actually, and am leaning towards yellow. True yellow, not the gold/shinier tone like in the pics you posted. If you get them painted soon, please post pics!!!

Will do. my appt is in 2 weeks. Do you have a sample photo of "true yellow" caliper? I assume it's more like those porsche turbo ones.

looks good. is there a shade code (for that yellow) that I have to tell the shop? The sample I saw from my mobile shop looks slightly brighter than urs.

They are GM yellow, which is very close to the older porche speed yellow, paint code: L12G
One thing to note, I believe powder coating paint codes are different than regular paint. The code I gave is paint but maybe your coater knows what it is.

@jackk you should confirm with your mobile guy whether you can actually pick the shade of yellow/use @Lukez paint code. For $100/caliper and mobile service, I’m thinking they are going to use rattle cans, which means you can’t specify a paint code. Also assume they’ll mask and spray in place since they can’t realistically remove the calipers to thoroughly clean. Would be a great deal/price if they do remove as well as mix specific paint for you though!
