Like many, I've been waiting for my Model 3 for a while. Tesla found a close match for me and was having the car shipped from Mt. Kisco, NY to Rockville, MD for delivery tomorrow. I had a VIN and everything, yay! Of course, I got a text today with the usual delays, blah, blah and moved my delivery to the end of Oct. I asked whether I could take delivery of the car from Mt. Kisco since it's about a 4.5 hour drive and surprisingly it looks like that may work out. My account page now has the same VIN back and a delivery location of Mt. Kisco set for this Saturday afternoon. Thing is, I would hate to drive that far to find out there are problems with the car. Of course, I will be asking for double, triple checks and photos, etc. from Tesla before I drive, but I was wondering if anyone in the area would have the time to swing by the store and give me an unbiased third-party report on the car before I make the drive? Not talking about chassis inspection or driving, just a good walk around and look at the interior noting any glaring problems that might present a problem for accepting delivery. If it's even questionable, then I'd just avoid the trip altogether, but I wouldn't mind the road trip if everything is in good order so I can claim the car before it's given to someone else. If anyone local has the time tomorrow (Fri) or early Sat morning and is willing, drop me a PM. Thanks Tesla guys and gals!
