My 2021 Refresh S has had constant GPS errors since the cabin cameras were activated in the FSD Beta program. It was diagnosed as a NON-shielded IR cabin camera and the Cabin Camera was replaced last week.
Immediately when driving at night I started getting “Cabin Camera Is Covered or Blinded”
After a little research it sounds like some of the newer cameras are not activating the IR lights and causing this problem.
My call for help:
If you have a newer camera could you please post a night time picture showing your camera with the IR lights visible. You can clearly see them in a picture with an iPhone (I can see my tv remote control IR emitter with my iPhone).
I have taken this picture of my car and the IR lights are clearly not on.
I need an example to send to my Service Center as they aren’t getting it with a verbal description.
