Camera always on top half of the display?

The camera is always on the bottom of the display while driving (on top while backing up). In my opinion the rear view mirror is almost useless in a MX so I use the camera. A few years ago there was a way to have the camera in the top position and the map below it. That was taken away with an update (in 2018?).

Is there any any way to display the camera at the top of the display by default or is there any discussion of reinstating this feature?

The only way to get the camera "higher" is to open the music player and expand it to fill half the screen.. then you're looking at a camera window towards the top, with a sliver of the map visible.

Currently, the only way, other than getting a replacement camera/mirror setup...
