Camp Mode and Door Locks

A problem with Camp Mode is locking the doors when inside. If you lock from the touchscreen or via voice command, the car is secure even with your phone inside and the Bluetooth on. But it’s hard to reach the screen from the rear when the seats are down and you’re ready for bed.

But if you lock the car using the phone app, the doors will open from outside unless you turn off Bluetooth (which means you then can’t listen to music on your phone through the car’s speakers or any other Bluetooth speaker, and I like music to nod off to!)

A workaround is to open the rear door and driver door, reach in and press the touchscreen padlock then close the driver door, enter the rear and shut that door. The car will then be secure even with Bluetooth on.

But it’s all a bit of a fiddle. Why can’t they fix it so locking the car via the phone secures the car from intruders? Would be so much simpler. Especially as you need the phone on and connected to control the climate.

Does anyone know another fix? I’ve tried all combinations, eg locking it via phone from different seats, with different modes on, with airplane mode on, etc. Nothing secures it from outside apart from locking with the touchscreen or voice command, both of which require long arms!
