Anyone else got plans to do this soon? I'm all packed and raring to go tomorrow. The Mrs and I are taking two days to drive around Skye from our home location in Central Scotland.

We've got all the mod cons, double bed, electric shower 😂😂😂🚿, and a view to die for! Looking forward to using all the free rapid chargers on route up, as well as my free tesla superchargers miles at Perth and Fort William. 😁😁

Spent the last few nights sleeping in mine and loved it! I highly recommend one of these too:

It's currently out of stock (for good reason as it's awesome) but worth it in the future. It essentially is like a tent material that blocks out all the side, front and rear windows but you can still open the door and get in and out of the car. And also you can still stargaze through the top windows! It's also very small and light when packed away. Note, TesMat also makes a mattress. I haven't tried that though. I went full chad an bought the dreamcase from dreamcase.eu

I did see them a few weeks ago, but I decided to copy somone else who'd cut out their own screens from thermal building material. Is essentially a big role of bumble wrap sandwiched between two foil sheets. It's perfect

EPIC 2 nights away on skye! got lots of waves and peeps from fellow tesla drivers on the island too! 😂

I can report that the airbed was VERY comfortable. Just the ticket. Even managed a warm shower on the Sunday morning too!

I parked up around 8 on the Sunday night in a very picturesque secluded spot. Had 218 miles. Switched to camp mode. Woke up in the morning with 176 miles. We didn't go to bed until 1am though and had watched a full movie etc. Maintained 19 degree throughout the night. Was happy with that.

Highly recommended trip.

Thanks!
Yeah, I'm not sure. Maybe just your favorites. I didn't realize it was all over.

Did you park in one location and go hiking from there, or were you driving to and camping from different trail heads?

First nights pitch was here 57.3288779, -6.2033416. I.e. The one where we have champaign in hand. The bushes have grown a bit since Google images so there is quite a bit seclusion now. It's ideal. I was even able to get starkers the next morning for a shower outside the car 😂🚿😂. Second nights pitch was a bit meh! So suggest driving around until you find something you like. Tons of potential places.

We visited:

sligachan Old Bridge

Fairy pools. That's the green crystal clear water you see. Stunning scenery here. Loved it. Try and catch this when the sun is low. You'll get the best hues from the water if you do.

The old man of storr (my favourite). This is a must. Transformers and prometheous had scenes filmed here. It's other worldly for sure.

Kilt rock. Worth a 5 min stop for sure.

Drive North from kilt Rock to view the stunning Quiraing land slip.

Had a snooze in the sun here 57.6734649, -6.3524744. As you do! Lol. You get a good view of the Outer hebrides from there too. Harris etc.

Carried on slowly to Uig for a rapid charge. Lovely little sleepy harbour village.

You might wanna visit coral beach. We ran out of time, which is a shame.

We then managed to fluke getting a table the three chimneys. Michelin star restaurant, or certainly used to be. Food was out of this world. Not cheap mind!

Then onwards to neist point! (catch this at sunset if you can}

Hope that helps a bit!
