Can’t control heated seats with HVAC off?

I can’t find a way to turn on heated seats without also turning on the full climate control system. I used to be able to do this before the regressive latest UI style.

Now I can only seem to do it by pulling out my phone and using the app. On the in-car control screen, tapping the climate settings (necessary to access heated seats) turns climate back on.

Tell me I’m missing something.

yeah, this was a bit annoying for me with the UI update. I either have to turn HVAC on to get the pop-up to then turn on seats and then power off HVAC, or I just use the voice command "turn on driver seat heater" and that works too.

I believe starting with 2022.12.1 you can put the seat heaters, wipers and defrost mode in the Quick Launch area.

Yeah, the California based software team picked a bad time of year (in the northern hemisphere) to hide/couple seat heaters and defrosters with in/with the HVAC.

Voice commands are okay but unreliable and no way to verify status (aside from the app) without turning on HVAC; not to mention (I guess I am) VCs are network dependent.

Yeah, super annoying to start feeling sweaty, just to open HVAC and realize that *both* front seat heaters are on with no passenger in the car, driving for miles in 70 degree weather.

AND... it's like 7 touches and major eye contact to shut it all down:

1. Climate button
2. Climate button
3. Driver seat heater
4. Passenger seat heater
5. Passenger seat heater
6. Passenger seat heater
7. Climate off
