Can different panel wattages be used in same string?

Looking at my options for messing with my solar. I have SE 11.4K inverters with SE optimizers. I believe my panels are either 310 or 320 watts,
16 per string. So if I wanted to add another panel, does it have to be same wattage or can it be larger?

It can be larger or smaller. Think about what happens if a panel is shaded or is receiving more light in string with the same size panels.

Thanks. I thought I had heard they had to be the same size. But if not the case, then if I add a few panels might as well get the largest I can for a fair price. I only have so much roof space that is usable.

With solar edge it doesn't matter as long as it's compatible with the optimizer and the optimizer is compatible with your inverter.
