Can I run 40 profile tires on Tsportlines?

Just a quick question, i noticed tsportline only specifies that you can run 45 profile tires on their 18 inch wheels. There shouldnt be anything stopping me running 235-40-18 tires correct?

No problem, but it’ll be thinner sidewalls and really short looking tires that makes your wheel well gap even bigger. You’re going to lose about 1” of total height and about 1/2” of sidewall.

Your speedometer will be off by the percentage of the increase/decrease of your new outer diameter.

We recommend the factory 235/45-18 tire size on our 18x8.5" wheels.

You'd be better off with 265/40-18 tires, which should be about the same height and maybe an inch wider.

255/40-18 would be a little shorter, so your speedometer would be off a bit, but better than 235/40-18.

This is just conjecture tho. No clue if something would rub.
