Can you charge a CSS Model Y with Gen 2 Type 2 Tesla wall charger?

I have a Gen 2 Type 2 wall charger from 4 years ago and will be getting a new Model Y with CSS socket, will my old Type 2 charger work with the new car?

Yes. CCS is a superset (AC & DC) of Type 2 AC as fitted on your Gen 2 TWC.

It has picture of the CCS Type 2 and Type 2 plugs side by side, and a CCS Type 2 car's socket. You'll see the socket is a combination of the Type 2 AC socket and the 2 DC pins for CCS Type 2.

The old Euro socket for Tesla was Type 2 with longer power pins supported for DC charging. Tesla didn't have to change their AC charging for the new socket, so older EVSEs are supported.
