Makes me wonder how many legacy drives would give up lifetime supercharging (to trade in) if they could only transfers FSD to a new car.

Tesla really could consider transfer, even for a fee. They might sell more cars and get a double dip on FSD even if send time isn’t the same full price.

A time traveler from the future could stop by and upgrade your car to to HW v20 and FSD v69. Tesla would still say it's worthless on trade in and you have to buy a new license*.

*then assassinate you and steal your car.

It's kind of sad how they include fsd for free on used teslas, but you can't transfer even for a fee to a new one. Personally this would work against them in my situation. Having fsd locked to the car makes me more likely to keep the car forever. Fsd as it stands today is nowhere near worth 20k+tax. I don't know if it will ever be worth that tbh. My $0.02 at least.
