Canada - Maps update?

I've looked on the Tesla Firmware tracker - has anybody received the maps update in Canada? I understand it's separate from the regular firmware updates. Is it prompted or does it automatically download? Is there any way of confirming whether it's been done?

Based on the file, 13 - not a huge number but it's also unclear how many would be updating the file compared against the number of customers (by the way, I'm not one of them - I'm on 18.10.4).

The 5-6 owners I know best are still on 10.4 or older as well. Until Vawlkus, the only reported 12.x Canadian update I was aware of was done by Tesla during an unrelated service appointment.

I believe reading that the NAV update was limited to the US at this point - although don't take that as hard fact.

For the record I am still on 10.4.

My 2018 MS 100D (late Feb) still running on 12.10.4. , same as my wife's MX 75D


I run PiHole and the car keep uploading/downloading data from hermes-prd.ap.tesla.services and telemetry-prd.ap.tesla.services. Makes me somewhat worried whether it's kinda stuck trying to download the updates.

It's been hit and miss for the updates for me. I've been near the start for the last few but this one is a little slow coming.

How's the voice?
Would like to be able to change the voice to something English or Scottish.

One of my passengers said that they thought the voice was much more "soothing". There is no option to change it like some GPS units can.

Got 2018.12 5eadc71 last friday, thought would be.14, but no luck. Also went to SC today for tire swap and voice command fix, no firmware been updated.

For 2018.12, not notice anything new yet, my map got stuck at one point today, second time happened to me, probably will fix itself after few hours >_<
