I have differing opinions of SAs compared to you guys. My SA works at Tesla Yorkdale and has given me outstanding customer service. Every time I text him, he replies within 5 seconds. It's like his phone is glued to him. He also has all the information I need, whether it's expected delivery time and pickup date, or info on current available stock. The guy is so responsible. Once my Vin came out in the source code, he emailed me immediately telling me what to do next. My Vin wasn't even on my account page yet. He doesn't hesitate to call me, and he even dealt with my insurance for 2022 model year updates. He's certainly the best sales representative I have had. Don't know if it's because we can speak Chinese to each other so it makes it easier for him. Picking up my MYP on Nov 27th at Lawrence.
Most SAs from Tesla Yorkdale are amazing and enthusiastic.

I have a question regarding Trade-Ins - not sure if this is the right place, but since I am waiting for my car to arrive ...

My initial plan was to trade in my current vehicle, but now I'm considering selling it privately. I've received a quote from AutoTrader Instant Cash and the price is great so I am considering that option. Have any of you sold privately instead of trading it in, and if so, can you share your experiences? Either with Autotrader or another car buying service?

It seems auto trader ICO isn’t trustworthy.

I have the same experience as you.
I think we have the same SA
Does his first name start with the letters Ad?
He used to work at the Lawrence location but he recently moved to Yorkdale.

Ive worked with him before on my model X and 3 and he is amazing.

He is my current SA for the model Y as well and his communication are amazing.
He is always available for his clients.
Yeah they start with AD. Good to know that he treats all customers well!

I went the easy route and went with Tesla's trade-in program, too many hastle. We got trade-in 1.5K more than initial value during our ordering process.

Me and the wife have an exceptional service from Tesla Yorkdale. Our SA answered all questions the wife had. When the VIN arrived, he called and book pick-up date / time. Kudos to Tesla Yorkdale.

We actually ended up successfully selling on Kijiji. Didn’t have any luck on Autotrader. It honestly is more of a hassle selling privately. There are always low ballers and people who ghost. But we sold our previous vehicle for about 4K more than what Tesla was offering for trade in.

Hey guys. Got a question regarding insurance. I’ve been with desjardins insurance for 20 years or so now. I had my 2019 Acura tlx aspect Elite paid 1500 a year for ins. Got a quote in aug for my my and it was 1900. Fine. But today, when I gave them vin rate jumped to 2700. She told me it was bc it’s now a 2022. Didn’t sit right with me. Does anyone. Know a good Tesla insurance provider? I got a quote at rate.ca some no name company for 1900 and 2000 for caa. Did anyone change their auto insurance due to the high Tesla rate from their current provider? Or is there a known good one out there for Tesla?

Also FYI delivery dec2 to my house, I had it changed to Oakville pick up, now set for nov 29

I'm going to be watching this thread and keeping my fingers crossed the same doesn't happen to us. We got a quote for $1500 from Economical a couple of months back. Still waiting for our VIN. We're in QC so insurance rates may vary.
