Ordered my Model Y Long Range: Sept 17
MSM, gemini wheels, tow hitch, 5 seat, black interior

Completed all tasks except for "Proof of Insurance" (what does that even mean!?)

No EDD.
For us living in BC, we don’t need to upload proof of insurance before delivery. Tesla will allow us to upload after delivery, which is often done by the delivery specialist or the on-site insurance agent.

My SA asked me to give him a call yesterday afternoon. I was actually scheduled for a Oct 19 pickup at the Lawrence Delivery Centre. So my SA surprised me by telling me my vehicle was arriving early and the latest I could take delivery was this Saturday Oct 16! I'm scheduled for a pickup on Friday Oct 15! Problem is it looks like its going to be pouring rain...I wonder if there is a covered area to inspect the vehicle.

OD - July 1
Profile Completion July 8
White/White/7
20" Wheels
Tow
No FSD

It’s much better than the EDD scheduled in snow winter

I just double checked and my order date was actually September 21st. But yeah, I'm guessing they'll be in the same batch.

I noticed you're in Vancouver. I'm in Toronto but I'm not not sure who usually gets cars first between our locations.
I am actually curious about this.
From my brief analysis, Quebec tends to receive new inventories first, so perhaps it goes from the East to the West coast. Any guesses on how these cars are transported throughout Canada? maybe train?

A vancouver sales person told me the cars are transported from california to vancouver in just 1 or 2 days. once the car is built, the deliver can be scheduled in couple days.

So yesterday was delivery day for me. The process was pretty smooth. Picked up at the Lawrence Ave Delivery Centre. The rain held off long enough for an inspection.

The vehicle is near perfect. I did note the tailgate has a larger panel gap on the drivers side and the front passenger door panel gap with the quarter panel is a little narrow.
I didn’t find any issues with the interior at all.

Most of the deliveries were white 3s or Ys. I did confirm that cars destined for the GTA are delivered by train to Chicago and by carrier to the delivery centres.

There were 8 vehicles awaiting deliveries yesterday.

I traded in my 2015 BMW X5M for the LRMY because I wanted the extra 2 seats. I’m a little disappointed with the acceleration. So I guess I’ll be shelling out for the Acceleration upgrade.

Otherwise the car is great so far!

Congrats on the delivery!
Interesting to see how these cars get shipped to the delivery centers.
I sold my m6 for a model y; hopefully I don’t miss the acceleration and noise too much.

Thanks!

I’m not saying the acceleration is terrible, but even compared to my wife’s model 3 long range without the acceleration upgrade the Y just doesn’t have the stick to the seat acceleration.

Yes, I absolutely miss the V8 sound from my X5M, but not the $140 gas bill!

Same here.
Gas was the biggest factor when I was debating about switching to electric. Gas prices are going high everywhere but honestly Vancouver is ridiculous; $1.63/litre or $5.02 USD/gallon(for our friends in the states)…..and that’s just 87 octane.
