Can Tesla offer a RWD Model Y in Canada for under $60,000 CAD? If so, the AWD long range Y would now qualify with the recent price reductions!

• a station wagon, pickup truck (light truck), sport utility vehicle (SUV), minivan, van, or special purpose vehicle, where the base model Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) is less than $60,000; and
  • higher priced trims of these vehicles, up to a maximum MSRP of $70,000, will also be eligible for purchase incentives.

I'm sure they could. They sell RWD MYSR in a lot of other markets. They even sold it in the US for a couple of weeks.

They also could sell the MYAWD with 4680 but I don't think they would want a $10K difference between the two as the difference in the US isn't that much.

With the recent price reduction the MYLR now qualifies for the $4K BC EV credit for the first time ever. Although the new income limits may hamper some from claiming it.

Crazy times with Tesla...always a rollercoaster ride.

Now in BC you can get the full $9K off of MY RWD and MYLR.

That means MYLR can be had for $60,990. Scary to think that from mid June 2022 through Jan 12, 2023 that would have cost one $85,000.

Unfortunately you can only get the BC rebate if you meet the income requirements.

Also the rebates are applied after tax.
