Good find! So my International Tesla Cost Estimator is pretty close. US$35K is, today, CA$45,141. I'll update to use actual CA prices.
Use your estimator and put the uplifting factor to 1.3% got very close price as 64100. From there , we can estimate other options.
That works for now - thanks for the suggestion! The 1.3% applies to every exchange-adjusted line item, so no extra compensations needed. @seanxushen

I'm pushing hard for that info too. Nothing so far, but all public indications are encouraging and let's just say, Tesla is paying attention to the Canadian market and it's needs.

Understood! Based on reservation preference data alone, they can see what people really want. Well except for the Standard Range battery. Nobody is getting that anytime soon.

I'm going to have to roll the dice unfortunately. The top of my budget is the SR battery with the Ontario rebate (perhaps AWD if necessary to get the rebate in time), but it sounds as though that may not happen until 2019 and who knows what our June election will bring.

Mmm. Ok. But in my province there are nine Superchargers. There are 44 Chademos with 6 more to be finished in 3 months and 5 more by the end of the year. So yah, supercharging is a consideration for us when buying our next EV but it’s not like the Chademo network is that bad...and getting better all the time.
For what it's worth, the preference in my account is stuck on AWD; when I try to change it to first production, it seems to save, but then when I reload the page it's back on AWD. If this is affecting other people, Tesla may not be getting accurate info on what people want.
I presume this won't actually affect when I'll get an invitation...

I set it to AWD the day those options became available and never tried changing it.
I really hope to order before the provincial election and if Dual Motors aren't available, I may have to bite bullet on RWD.
I hope that means consideration for the potential change in political leadership in 2.5 months for Ontario.
I totally disagree. I bet a small majority of Tesla owners even have adapters. Given the current SuperCharger network, plus what is supposed to come in the next nine months, there is very little reason to use anything other than a SC as long as you are on the main highways.
