@SmartElectric Why do you disagree? The Calgary SvC has tons of space out back - easily enough to hold each owner in Calgary's spare set of tires. And that's _with_ the ~2 dozen cars they have sitting there still wrapped up.

I disagree with your position of "disappointment" that Tesla is not offering this service.
I use Kal Tire service to switch over yearly summer<->winter, they offer storage for a price.
Since this is a well served third party system that is cheap and practical, I see no reason for Tesla to take on such an additional requirement when that is a distraction from their core business at a service center.
I specifically chose to not "waste" (my term) Tesla's service center time on doing this tire/rim service.
My reasoning : I care that Tesla is doing only what is practically necessary to service real issues on their cars. I feel that reducing any distractions from that, by seeking third party services is a better way to help Tesla scale their service business to the ultimate number of customers coming soon.
So you see, that is why I "disagree", namely, I want Tesla to have bandwidth to dedicate to fixing real issues and generating real owner satisfaction without distractions like tire switching.

On one hand it seems to be 'anti competition', but on the other hand, we notice how hard it is to get a service appointment at various brand dealerships when tires are being changed from summer to winter.
I noticed a 2-3 week wait for an appointment in Ottawa, for example (Mercedes dealer). So letting tire specialists do tire work, while dealers do mechanical work on their branded cars has some merit, or at least benefit.

All tire shops experience massive wait times when the snow starts flying with people either wanting swaps done, or new tires purchased. Having more facilities doing tire changes is a good thing in my opinion. Tesla's mobile service centers can do this at people's homes, but for those with an apartment/condo or something, they could bring the stored tires, do the swap, then return to the service center with the previous season tires.

FYI in Toronto Tesla uses a 3rd party to store your tires. They have also suggested a mobile 3rd party to do the summer / winter tire swaps.
And I would argue that having the appropriate tires affixed to your car IS an essential service. Perhaps if it wasn't such a chore to get your tires swapped, more people's cars would wear the correct footwear. This is a perfect service for the mobile crew to do, and something that can pay the bills for Tesla.

Kal Tire offers free swaps if you buy the tires from them. One time money, and then hoping the free swaps get you to be a repeat customer. Works for me, I'm likely to buy tires from Kal for my next Smart ED (I put down a deposit on one).
Free, if your time is worth nothing. They stopped taking appointments, at least here in Calgary. So that means you have to show up at 6am and hope there's less than 20 people ahead of you in line or else you have to try again another day. And then you don't have a car for the day.
Just saying, there's a market for mobile tire store & swap, and if Tesla does that, that would be another thing that they do better than most others. If you also put that strategy into the "Tesla Mobility" game plan, it makes sense.

Then pick a company that takes appointments. My local Kal Tire absolutely takes appointments, and has been excellent with our Tesla. Will e a repeat customer. But if the one near you doesn't work out, there's dozens of options. It's like we're talking past each other. I get it. You want Tesla to do everything, including tire swaps, and you feel that would be a money making business for them. We disagree on this. Oh well.

I make my own appointments - go to driveway, jack up car, swap rims, store rims in garage, have coffee or another libation depending on time of day. I also have peace of mind that they are mounted correctly and torqued to specs.
This article in today's Toronto Star states that Tesla is opening a dealership in Sherway Gardens in Etobicoke. I remember seeing a Model S displayed at Sherway when Tesla launched but nothing since, anyone hear/see anything?

Lawrence Ave is at least in the Eastern half of the GTA, if not the East End. But you would think that once they start shipping Model 3s in volume that they are going to need WAY more locations as Lawrence has always been swamped.
This would be no different than the store at Yorkdale wouldn't it? Not really a dealership as I doubt that they would service cars at this location. Just a storefront for marketing purposes.
But I wonder if this could be a site for one of the Mississauga Superchargers? Well located at the intersection of QEW/427/Gardiner.

I wondered the same thing. And if not here, certainly across the Queensway in the Walmart/Home Depot mall.
