Cant get the frunk aligned properly

I purchased this used model 3 in late May after my new order kept getting pushed back. The frunk doesn’t align properly so I took it to Tesla and they said they couldn’t either. It was apparent that there was some cosmetic work done to front bumper , had frame inspection and no damage. Can it be that the bumpers not pushed all the way back or can the latch be bent ? When kI tried to move it forward the latch would hit the side of where it engages. I can see the tub when its closed . TIA

There is a good guide on frunk, trunk hatch adjustments in the service manual. Subscribe for free (now) access on Teslas service website.

There are many adjustments you can make with the bump stops, and the latch mechanisms.
I will definitely look at it , I may have to cave and take it to a Tesla certified body shop for them to do so if I can’t get it right . Thanks !

Looking at your third photo (35C), it looks like the hood is bent, as it does not follow the curvature of the fender. In that case, you will have a very hard time aligning this hood until you straighten the hood's curvature or replace it with new part.

Indeed, another case of previous owner not knowing how to close/latch the hood when accessing the frunk resulting in damage (Tesla's design and material use aren't exactly helping, but...)

Seen a few facelifted Ss and 3/Ys done in this way (where the hood bends on close and stays permanently deformed).

It has that wave on both sides. Im afraid you’re right. Body shop or
New piece indeed 🤦🏽‍♂️

Update… Went to a bodyshop listed on Teslas page and was told the following, There was some front end cosmetic damage that bent the hood at the crumple zones and front bumper . Carmax tried to fix and Tesla recommends replacing. 5100 estimate. Going to have Carmax pay or lawyer up 🤷🏽‍♂️

Update: After many months of back and forth the Tesla was fixed. New hood and bumper . Dents on door and fender fixed and color blended to match
