Makes sense. It has to be a car end issue, nothing to do with the charge point, because of the way things work. The charger (in the car) is always in control of the process, for reasons mainly associated with safety, so any failure to turn off (that isn't something seriously faulty with the charge point, like the contactor welding shut) has to be caused by the car failing to unload the CP.
We already know that this is an area subject to changes from software updates, as an update a few months ago fixed the failure to comply with IEC81851 that all UK Model 3s suffered from until then (the charger failed to recognise state A correctly and refused to handshake and start charging if the charge point went to state B whilst the car was asleep).
