I ordered a used P3D+ on Friday night that's in Atlanta. I live in Nashville. I have family in Atlanta so it's no problem to drive down and take delivery. I emailed this to the adviser and got this response from the generic
[email protected] address:
"Since you are a TN resident, you can only pick up at the Nashville delivery center which will require a $2,000 transport fee. This is due to the DMV regulations of the state of TN."
People buy cars out of state all the time (my friend as recently as last week). Is this Tesla just trying to get $2k out of me? I missed my adviser's call today and called him back twice with no response, so I'm not sure what his explanation will be, but I'm certainly curious to hear it.
