Car must be in park to properly close a door.

Not only the doors must be slammed to close them, but if the door did not close, you have to be in park to open them with the button and re-slam them.

The mechanical door opener works, but the back seats don't have them....this is extremely annoying.

The software should be updated to allow for a door to be open with the button while moving...or limit this to doors that are not properly closed

Most likely a safety feature. I can see why they wouldn't want the doors just popping open if someone accidentally hits the open button while the car is in motion. Seems far more likely that someone would accidentally hit the button as opposed to accidentally using a mechanical door opener. Perhaps they could program it so that several rapid presses of the door open button will let the door open while the car is in motion.

Guess we won't be seeing any action movies with people jumping out of a speeding Model 3!
