Car seat REALLY tough to install

Good Evening All,

My wife has a Subaru and installing a forward facing Graco seat is easy and is super snug (shake the car snug). However, when I install the same seat in the MY it is extremely difficult to get tight. I have to use the recline the seat and then move it back to its original position trick to get it tight enough for safety. Am I missing something? I have used the seatbelt and latch method. Also, the seat rattles like crazy but when installed in the Subaru it's super quiet (clothe seats).

No issues in either one of our two Model Ys.

we did buy covers for the seats to ensure we don’t damage them.

for the install, one of us sits in the seat while the other pulls on the latch straps. We also found that “hopping” on the seat while pulling the straps will provide additional tightening leverage.

Yes, you need an adult's weight on the seat to cinch it down.
