Apparently it doesn't work. Some guy put his car in car wash mode overnight but it was still just as dirty the next morning. Probably just user error though as he may have had his car plugged in to charge and Octopus can't charge and wash at the same time...

If you have an MX the car wash mode is not available with the update (neither is the range/% mode). All we get is dash cam improvements, 2 new languages and something else so unimportant I can’t even remember what it is!
I updated a couple of days back to 24.4 and exactly the same release notes as 24.3 which I have been on for a week or more. Still a great car though.
