While we are waiting for the ESE ...looking at alternatives. I have found pricing for the BMW M carbon wheels (aprox 10.000£) accordng to this site: BMW M4 GTS review - more than twice the price of a regular M4, but is it worth it?
Looking up the BMW M4 wheel specs - there is a centerbore at 72,6 vs. 64,1 on Tesla - BMW are ET29 vs ET40 on Tesla.
finally BMW is 9Jx19" while Telsa is 8Jx19" Both have 5x120 with M14x1,5 lugsize.
Im no wheel expert, but to me it seem these wheel will fit fine with a 255/45/19 tire. I know of a Tesla fellower wich tested and used a BMW wheel as a spare wheel - since they have a wheel wich fitted in the RWD classic frunk. have no info about weigth savings compered to factory wheels. the M4 is though a lighter car (3,329 pounds) compared to Model S - maybe the wheels can not take the load..?
I'm about to abandon ship and get my money back - its been over a year - and no communication for over six months...I really wanted these wheels, and can't believe they can't deliver.... hell this company Emergent Carbon Wheels – High-Performance Carbon-Fiber Wheels was founded by a college student and they are already producing barrels.
Is there anything to rule out this being an elaborate fraud from day one?
Looks like a decent option. Once they are $1k each I'll get them.

Hmm.. this is interesting. It's not too far from me (about 20 miles). I wonder if they'd show me around? It's kind of in a ghetto area, not that it matters much for wheel manufacturing.
I'd definitely be in for $1k/wheel, for sure, assuming the weight was in a good place.
Have you guys considered approaching Carbon Revolution?

They have already proven themselves and provide the rims for Fords GT amongst other things.
