Carbon fiber sliding console door?

My late 2016 Mod S has the optional carbon fiber trim. However, on my car, the lower console-- the sliding door and the flip-up door-- are plain black plastic.

The car is in for a windshield replacement ($$$) and the loaner car also has carbon fiber trim, but unlike my car the sliding console door is also trimmed in carbon fiber (the flip-up door is not).

Is/was this standard? Maybe a running change as Tesla is so fond of doing? Since it's a loaner from Tesla I doubt it's a third party piece, and it does perfectly match the other carbon fiber...

Yes, the door is now carbon fiber. It changed sometime in late 2017. You can get a carbon fiber door from Tesla for about $75 and replace it yourself or pay Tesla to replace it for you.

I think the change was made around May or June 2017. My S that was delivered end of June has the CF sliding door.

Resurrecting this old thread - any options that exist for the matte carbon fiber console flip door and sliding tray panel set that doesn't cost cost an arm and a leg ?
