In sympathy with my friends to the south of me (and hoping not to offend) ... Hitler rants about Carmageddon.

(For those of you unaware, the busiest freeway in the US, the 405, is shut down for two days.)

That link goes to Carmageddon set to the Carmina Burana, not to a Hitler rant. But I'm not surprised if someone has put Carmageddon subtitles to the usual Hitler rant video.

What happened? It never even made the news on the east coast. Did it all fizzle out like Y2K?

Fizzled, crashed and burned. Everyone stayed home and the freeways were empty. They also opened it a day early since it didn't take as long as anticipated to demolish the bridge.

We hopped the fence & climbed the hill all while carrying the table, chairs & place settings, found a gap in the wall, set up and posed while I frantically shot a couple dozen photos and got the heck out of there when a construction guy drove up and told us to scoot, informing us that we were lucky it was him and not a cop.
