I just saw this promo for a third-party (i.e., non-Tesla branded) CCS adapter that I understand is supposed to work with Tesla vehicles in North America. Pricey. And safety/reliability unknown. I personally will not be buying, at least not without better assurance on both the safety and reliability points. CCS Adapter | SETEC POWER
LOL. I thought that was my car in the photo from Plugshare. Now that I look back, my car was parked facing the fence, not facing the building.
I got mine, haven't had a chance to use it yet though. It looks like a really nice quality unit, FWIW.
That's not the official Tesla CCS adapter, but one made by Setec. This is the official Tesla CCS Adapter for cars in South Korea:
Not that I have seen. I don't even think it has been released yet. (As I recall they said it would be released sometime in the first half of the year; so it could be another ~5 months before we see it.)
Tesla has a CCS adapter out for the South Korean market which, to my knowledge, uses the North American socket style. Speculation is that it's only a matter of time before they release it for sale in the US and Canada.
