CCS - buy now or wait?

Why not? The Harumio one I received doesn't have the locking pin. I figure I'll unload it and go with the official Tesla one. Also the official Tesla unit will surely sell out. Then I will sell my Harumio.
Ah ok. I thought you were talking about the Tesla CCS adapters that Harumio was selling.
Meh. We’ll just stick with our A2Z. It’s working fine for us.

w/o the locking pin someone can unplug your car and plug themselves in? Doesn't seem like too big a deal as most spaces won't allow a second car to park w/ in the reach of the cables. It's not like these are J1772s

The Tesla site won’t let me order one because my 3 is too old (and not CCS compatible right now)… Anyone find a workaround? (Besides using a friend with a compatible car).Officially available from Tesla us shop.

Yes, this is annoying since I have a gen4 controller and bundle of wires. Of course Tesla hardly wants to support that.
Still, perhaps those who got adapters via Harumio will be open to buying one for a TMC buddy.
At $250 this is $25 more than the price in Korea, but the price of the A2Z and other aftermarkets should drop to something under $200 to compete, but it may need to be $150 -- will you buy an aftermarket 150kw device to save $50?

In fact, to follow up A2Z has dropped to $227 USD -- I don't know if that will be enough to make sales, unless you need it in the next 3 weeks.

Yes, they would have to start their own session, but you would lose out on the time while you are away from the charger and until they finish their charge.

I have the gen4 ECU and the wires installed, my display reads CCS supported so when I try to order Tesla knows this and lets me order the adapter (but I already got one from Korea).
If you have the charging stopped notifications on I wonder if this would trigger that?

Ha Ha, well I own one and I still can't buy it! Once I log in it tells me I need a retrofit and to check back in early 2023. Can't add it to the cart.Won't let me order until I own a car.....the wait continues.....

I have a 2018 Model 3, which was not CCS compatible.
I changed the hardward interface and wires connections (as described here).
My Model 3 is now CCS compatible, and when going to the Tesla CCS web page,
I get the following message and I am able to order the CCS adapter:

Of course… But, I first assumed that the site would be smart enough not to allow such an obvious work-around. But, since I was able to get my order to succeed, I guess not…
