Why not? The Harumio one I received doesn't have the locking pin. I figure I'll unload it and go with the official Tesla one. Also the official Tesla unit will surely sell out. Then I will sell my Harumio.
Ah ok. I thought you were talking about the Tesla CCS adapters that Harumio was selling. Why not? The Harumio one I received doesn't have the locking pin. I figure I'll unload it and go with the official Tesla one. Also the official Tesla unit will surely sell out. Then I will sell my Harumio.
Wouldn’t the charge session stop after it was disconnected?w/o the locking pin someone can unplug your car and plug themselves in? Doesn't seem like too big a deal as most spaces won't allow a second car to park w/ in the reach of the cables. It's not like these are J1772s
The Tesla site won’t let me order one because my 3 is too old (and not CCS compatible right now)… Anyone find a workaround? (Besides using a friend with a compatible car).Officially available from Tesla us shop.

Yes, this is annoying since I have a gen4 controller and bundle of wires. Of course Tesla hardly wants to support that. The Tesla site won’t let me order one because my 3 is too old (and not CCS compatible right now)… Anyone find a workaround? (Besides using a friend with a compatible car).
In fact, to follow up A2Z has dropped to $227 USD -- I don't know if that will be enough to make sales, unless you need it in the next 3 weeks.Yes, this is annoying since I have a gen4 controller and bundle of wires. Of course Tesla hardly wants to support that.
Still, perhaps those who got adapters via Harumio will be open to buying one for a TMC buddy.
At $250 this is $25 more than the price in Korea, but the price of the A2Z and other aftermarkets should drop to something under $200 to compete, but it may need to be $150 -- will you buy an aftermarket 150kw device to save $50?
Yes, they would have to start their own session, but you would lose out on the time while you are away from the charger and until they finish their charge.Wouldn’t the charge session stop after it was disconnected?
I have the gen4 ECU and the wires installed, my display reads CCS supported so when I try to order Tesla knows this and lets me order the adapter (but I already got one from Korea).Yes, this is annoying since I have a gen4 controller and bundle of wires.

Mine just shipped this morningNot sure but it seems like a presale, with orders shipping within two weeks.
Very very glad I waited on this one, since the third party options are the same or more expensive.
Ha Ha, well I own one and I still can't buy it! Once I log in it tells me I need a retrofit and to check back in early 2023. Can't add it to the cart.Won't let me order until I own a car.....the wait continues.....
I have a 2018 Model 3, which was not CCS compatible. The Tesla site won’t let me order one because my 2019 Tesla Model 3 is too old (and not CCS compatible right now)… Anyone find a workaround?
So that I can take advantage of the ECU conversion ASAP! (Of course) AND, not deal with a 3rd party adapter.if your car can't use it, why try and buy it?
Of course… But, I first assumed that the site would be smart enough not to allow such an obvious work-around. But, since I was able to get my order to succeed, I guess not…Inspect element on google chrome.
