Ack! The high performance charger in Centralia is all lined up to get a decent amount of activity on 6/28 and 6/29 with BC2BC going through mostly on 6/29 (I'll be going through there on my way north on 6/28 as well, and I imagine others are as well).

Easy fix.
Just need to loosen up the grommet and milk the insulation on the cable until it goes back up inside the connector then tighten it down.
I'll head down tomorrow, fix it, plug in, enjoy a Tillamook Cheese burger at Burgerville and report back.

I played a big role in getting the Burgerville station installed, and I have both the experience and parts to make repairs, including a spare cable and even a full replacement if needed.

Please keep me posted on this and let me know if the cable needs more than a quick fix. I'll coordinate with TurboFroggy.

I'm subscribed to this thread, so I'll see any further discussion here.

Yay Turbo! That's a long drive for you; thanks for taking care of it. Too bad we didn't know about this yesterday, as you were halfway there...

Thanks for the support Tom. The problem is fixed and I am charging successfully.

Thank you TurbyFroggy! BC2BC was going to be jammed up in Centralia pretty badly later this month if the SC isn't switched on, and the Roadster charger was down. First world problems eh :)

Here is a pic of the fixed HPC, no wires hanging out now... The weatherlock nut was not tight enough I think to start out with. I was able to get the ring past the squeeze point inside the weather lock and tightened it down good. Should last a while now.

Awesome TurboFroggy! Thank you for doing that. I wish I could give you an extra reputation point for that quick save.

I'll be driving down to Oregon today in my Model S and wanted to check on the status of the Roadster to Model S adapter at the Burgerville in Centralia. Don't think I'll need it, but wanted to know if it was available just in case. Alas, the Supercharger isn't done yet.

Is it still there, functional?
Is there a code needed to access it?

Are you in the BC2BC rally? if not, be aware that there is a competition to get to Grants Pass and several S's and one Roadster are in the race and will likely be using that charging station. They left Blaine around noonish.

Do you have more details on which chargers they have there? PlugShare didn't provide what I was looking for. Maybe the full name or address would be enough to go on. Thanks.

I was at Burgerville yesterday and found the charging cord damaged. It still worked but I don't believe the manager is comfortable leaving it and possibly have an electrical shock risk on the property. It may have already been turned off. If this was not vandalism, I ask that we drivers be more careful with these chargers out of respect to the property owners and other drivers

I bet I know what happened...

I arrived there yesterday just after another Tesla, and she just left the cable in for me to use. This is the first time I've used something like this, and I've also never charged a Roadster before.

The problem is that it is not obvious how to decouple the Roadster cable from the Model S adapter, so took me a minute or two to figure out the pull latch + twist connectors trick.

I imagine someone was in a similar situation and tried just pulling the two apart, and since the adapter doesn't have a lot of space, gripped it by the cable, causing the cable to pull out of the connector.

If someone is planning on going there next, could you perhaps print out some instructions on how to decouple the two connectors, and tape it to the cable's box? I think that will help avoiding this in the future.

PS: Grabbed some grub from BurgerVille and went to RiverSide park to eat it. Was there for just under 90 minutes and got 70 miles of charge. Awesome experience overall, and thank you SO much everyone for the planning involved in getting this up and running.
