Chademo adapter problem

I bought my chademo adapter last summer and it was working good until recently. Now the car says adapter not recognized. Charge point says their system says it’s an unauthorized adapter. Do I need to go to Tesla service center and have them update the firmware on the chademo adapter? Anyone else having the same problem?

Huh--yes, it sounds like it might need an update. I did find out those do need a special tool to connect to and update the CHAdeMO adapters, and apparently not all of the service centers have them, (my local one doesn't) so you might ask when you're scheduling the appointment to make sure they do have it first, or if they need to order it.
