I was envious of my American TMC friends who changed the brake pads of their cars by themselves. So today I asked to Mariano, a friend of mine who is a professional car mechanical, to act as supervisor while I changed the brake pads of my mother's car. I performed the work of changing the brake pads well and eventually Mariano told me: "Congratulations Raffy. You made a good job"
Thank you David. And next week I am also going to change the oil and the filters to my car by myself (always under the supervision of Mariano).
Nice going Raffy. When I read your post, for some reason this old joke popped into my head: Heaven Is Where: The French are the chefs The Italians are the lovers The British are the police The Germans are the mechanics And the Swiss make everything run on time Hell is Where: The British are the chefs The Swiss are the lovers The French are the mechanics The Italians make everything run on time And the Germans are the police
I do this several times a season on my track car. As you say it's actually very easy to do basic brake service.
