Changing order to Inventory purchase

Has anyone here had experience with putting an order for a new model x and later applying the deposit towards an inventory vehicle?

I just placed an order a week ago ahead of the price increase for the 100D and also have the 1k referral credit also.
Always been on a lookout for a deal on a P100D with enhanced autopilot and surprisingly have seen a few here and there just not in the 6 seat configuration I want. Curious if after you place the order and let's say something pop up whether anyone has been able to reapply the deposit and up to what time period.

I have no experience with your situation, but I've seen a few postings from others that have done exactly that. Your DS should be able to answer that for you and help you out.
